Nagpur: Local Crime Branch busted a gambling den near Mauda and arrested 11 persons in this connection. Seven motorcycles and Rs 33,000/- in cash was seized by the police during the raid.
The accused have been identified as Nitesh Dhnyaneshwar Tekam (25), Pranay Purushottam Khote (22), Deepak Babanrao Barde (37), Ravindra Jagobaji Mankar (40), Vitthal Shamrao Dhoble (46), Nitin Murlidhar Potbhare (32), Shekhar Ramesh Nakade (36), Mangesh Shravan Bhushari (32), Ashish Rameshwar Kawle (20), Ashish Narayan Bante (31) and Pankaj Devanand Sakore (30), all residents of Mauda.
Acting on a tipoff, the LCB team raided the gambling den in a farm of Ravindra Mankar and arrested the gamblers. An offence under Section 12 of Maharashtra Prevention of Gambling Act was registered against the accused.
