LBT: CM agrees to look into traders demands,forms a High Power Committee.

Nagpur News: In a meeting today with the members of Federation of Associations of Maharashtra (FAM ), Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan has agreed that traders should not face two authorities for assessment.

He also showed openness towards imposing surcharge on VAT & has formed a High Power Committee consisting of 5 secretaries & 5  representatives from trader’s associations to discuss  and  finalize the legalities & modalities with outer limit of 14 days.

To decide the further course of action, there will be a meeting of All Presidents/Secretaries and trade representative of all concerned Associations on 05-05-2013, at 5.00 P.M.at NVCC.

Strike will continue till next decision, stated in a press note issued by Shri Hemant Gandhi, Secretary of the Chamber.
