Lucknow/Nagpur: Following death of a lawyer, hundreds of lawyers went on a rampage in Lucknow on Wednesday afternoon. The violent mob destroyed dozen of motor vehicles. Two buses were torched and Swastha Bhawan building was set on fire. The protest began at 11am when about 50 lawyers gathered to register their protest near CDRI building in Qaiserbagh area.

A lawyer, Shravan Verma was allegedly murdered in Naka area. Three people were named and an FIR was lodged at Naka police station. A call to protest against local administration and police was given. The protest kept turning violent with time. City police failed to control the situation and stood like mute spectator. Lawyers kept breaking glasses of four wheelers in front of on duty policemen.
