‘BIRDS OF NAGPUR’ a wonderful compilation meticulously researched and curated by the students and teachers of Delhi Public School MIHAN and Kamptee Road Nagpur was formally unveiled and launched officially by Hon. Shri Nitin Gadkari ji, Minister for Road Transport and Highways of India, and the unveiling ceremony attended by the budding authors of the book and Principals Ms.Nidhi Yadav and Ms.Yogeeta Umalkar of MIHAN and Kamptee Road respectively.

President and Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS Kamptee and MIHAN Ms.Tulika Kedia’s visionary leadership led to the extensive research of the avian wonders of Nagpur, she expressed her happiness on the occasion and congratulated both the schools for their efforts towards the appreciation of #Nagpur’s biodiversity. The director of both the schools Ms.Savita Jaiswal applauded this initiative as it would ignite the passion for birdwatching amongst budding ornithologists and the public at large so that they can bond with nature.

The team of students and teachers from both DPS Kamptee Road and DPS MIHAN under the guidance of naturalist Mr. Shardul Bajikar have diligently worked to bring out this impressive publication that depicts the common birdlife of our city in a very well-researched and aesthetically appealing manner and has been published beautifully as well. .
The honourable minister commended the book’s educational value and its potential to inspire a deeper appreciation for avian species. He emphasized the government’s commitment to protecting endangered bird habitats and promoting eco-tourism.
