    Lata Mangeshkar Hospital doctor booked for cheating man over daughter’s admission

    Nagpur: A doctor at Lata Mangeshkar Hospital has been booked by Ambazari police on the charges of cheating an aged man to the tune of Rs 1 lakh by falsely promising admission to his daughter in the hospital.

    The accused has been identified as Dr Sunil Manohar Deo (58), resident of Priya Apartment, New Manish Nagar, Somalwada. The accused is doctor in Lata Mangeshkar Hospital. The accused Dr Deo approached the complainant Ravindra Vasantrao Mudliyar (62), resident of G1, Chandramohan Vaishnav Apartment, New Verma Layout, and told him that he has good connections with the Admission Committee of Lata Mangeshkar Hospital and that he would provide admission to his daughter for medical education.

    The accused then took Rs 1 lakh from Ravindra Mudliyar. However, the accused Dr Deo neither provided admission to Ravindra’s daughter nor returned his money. Realising that he has been cheated, Ravindra registered a case with Ambazari police in this regard.

    PSI Meshram has booked the accused Dr Sunil Deo under Sections 419, 420, 504, 506 of the IPC and investigating the matter further.
