Lakadganj police have arrested two persons and booked a woman for abetting suicide by an elderly woman on December 30.
According police, Jaywantabai Laxmanrao Lakhorkar (60), committed suicide on December 30 by setting herself ablaze. However, the police, who had first registered the case as an accidental death, on thorough investigation found that Jaywantibai had a brawl with her neighbours over some petty issue. The neighbours Amar Singh Baghel (32), Kuwar Singh Baghel (34) and Munnibai humiliated and insulted Jaywantibai during the quarrel and instigated her to do whatever she want. The frustrated Jaywantbai went into her house and poured kerosene and set herself afire. She was rushed to hospital but was declared dead during treatment.
On the complaint of her daughter, Sonu Arjapure (27), Lakadganj police have arrested Amar Singh and Kunwar Singh, both residents of Mochipura, Juna Bagadganj, and booked Munnibai under Sections 306 and 34 of the IPC.
