Nagpur: LAD College defeated Centre Point School 2-0 to win District-level Women Badminton Tournament that was organised by DSO at Divisional Sports Complex.
In the final, LAD defeated CPS Dabha 2-0. In the singles, Vaishnavi Bhale defeated Shrushti Kawle 21-5, 21-14. Then in the doubles, Bhakti Dahasahastra- Khushbu Patel duo got the better of Livia Fernandes-Sanika Durugkar 21-7, 21-6 to win the title.
Meanwhile Inter-School Badminton Tournament will begin on Friday at the same venue and will conclude on September 21.
On Friday under-14 boys and girls events will be organised followed by under-17 on September 19 and Under-19 on September 21, informs a press release issued by DSO.
