Nagpur: Sensation prevailed Nandanvan on Wednesday afternoon, after a labourer was brutally killed by his colleague near Saint Xavier High School.
The deceased has been identified as Dinesh Vinayak Rajapure (45), a resident of Sadhbhavana Nagar. Nandanvan Police have booked accused Atul Hemraj Shivankar (23), a resident of Shri Nagar on charges of murder and placed him under arrest.

According to police sources, Rajapure and Shinavkar both were working as painters. On Wednesday afternoon, the duo had engaged in verbal duel over consuming liquor. In the fit of rage, the accused Shinavkar then lifted heavy stone placed nearby attacked Rajapure. With severe head injuries, Rajapure died on the spot.
In the meantime, cops received input regarding the incident. Cops, subsequently, rushed to spot and send body for autopsy. Cops have nabbed accused Shivankar. Further investigations are on.
