Nagpur: BJP MLA Krishna Khopde’s son had created ruckus in Cloud-7 Bar on WHC road on Sunday the November 20, 2016. An innocent student Shubham Mahakalkar had to lose his life. Those who killed Shubham had murderous intensions.
Cops of Ambazhari Police Station have arrested the owner of Cloud-7 Bar and restaurant Sawan alias Sunny Bambrotwar, his father and five others in the case. Those arrested include Sunny’s father Pramod Bambrotwar (52), Sunny’s brother Shobit Bambrotwar (18), Sunny’s friend Vivek Balekar (19), Kapil Arkhel (20) and Parag Bhogaokar (20).

It could be mentioned here that on Sunday the November 20, 2016, BJP MLA Krishna Khopde’s son Abhilash and his friends had an argument with the staff of the Cloud-7 over discount on their bill. Soon the verbal duel turned to physical assault.

The incident somehow displayed the fact that the fear of law seems to be prevalent among some youngsters. 12-15 youth had accompanied Sunny’s brother Shobit Bambrotwar armed with sharp-edged weapons, iron rods, hockey sticks, baseball bats etc. Many youth had come riding triple seat. All the youth are said to be residents of Gaddigodam and Jaripatka area. The Bambrotwar family is said to be in the liquor serving business for the past many years. They are known to take bars on rent and run the bars. The Bambrotwar family is said to run three bars in the city. The Bambrotwar family is said to have contacts with many criminal elements.

The cops of Ambazhari Police Station has registered cases of murder and attempted to murder against both the groups.

While speaking to Nagpur Today, In-Charge of Ambazhari Police Station Senior Police Inspector Atul Sabnis claimed that the police will carry-out an impartial investigation in the matter. Their investigation seems to have yielded some results too. The cops of Ambazhari Police Station have arrested a close friend of Rohit Khopde identified as Mohsim Khedikar aged 22 years and a resident of Sakardhara area. The cops have already acquired the Police Custodial Remand (PCR) for Mohsim Khedikar till November 25, 2016.

The cops have already started their confidential efforts to apprehend the absconding Rohit Khopde and his other friends who were involved in the case. Sources claimed that team of three cops have been constituted and sent to neighboring states in search of the absconding accused. The brother of Rohit Khopde is said to be undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
