Khatri murder case judgement on Thursday

Nagpur: The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge A S Jadhav will pronounce judgment in the sensational murder case of Kishor Khatri, well-known industrialist and businessman from Akola, on Thursday.

The judgement was earlier expected on September 11 but was later postponed to September 24. The court on Monday made it clear that the verdict in the case will be made on September 27. Advocate Ujjwal Nikam appeared as government lawyer in the case.

Kishor Khatri was murdered on 3 November 2015 at Somthana farm area following a dispute over financial transactions regarding the under-construction Balaji Mall in Kholeshwar area. The accused had used sharp weapons and gun to kill Khatri.

On a complaint filed by the deceased’s brother Dilip Khatri, the Old City police had registered an offense and arrested Ranjeetsingh Chungde, Ankush Chandel, Raju Meher and suspended policeman Jassi alias Jaswant Singh Chauhan.
