Khamla Sindhi Colony floating in sewerage water

NAGPUR: It has become difficult for the residents of Khamla Sindhi Colony to come out as sewerage water and waste is flowing on roads since the time incessant rains lashed the city last week. Due to negligence of civic authorities, people are forced to live with the odor and in unhygienic conditions.

The local residents alleged that corporators had no time to look into their grievances. Corporators of the zone had reportedly told the residents that the gutter lines were too old and needed to be replaced.

Moreover, the area is witnessing large number of construction works, from where water is released on the roads, thus adding to the woes of the residents. Though the administration serves notices to such errant residents, no serious action is taken to prevent such acts.
