Kapil Nagar Police arrest 2 thieves, detain juvenile delinquent

Nagpur: Kapil Nagar Police arrested two thieves and detained a juvenile delinquent and recovered three stolen LPG cylinders, a bicycle, a table lamp and an iron from them.

The accused have been identified as Tamsingh alias Bajrang Gajarsingh Maraskolhe (58), a resident of Plot No 50, Malka Colony, near Durga Mandir, Mayur alias Bittu Manohar Bankar (28), a resident of Bhakti Sagar Nagar, Nari and a boy in conflict with the law. The accused trio had stolen the LPG cylinders, a table lamp, an iron and a bicycle from the residence of Shanta Neelkanth Ashatnkar at Bhoomi Layout, Samata Nagar.

They committed the theft in October last when Shanta Ashtankar (70) had gone to attend the naming ceremony of her grandson at Kuhi. When the septuagenarian returned home from Kuhi, she was shocked to find the broken door lock and cylinders and other household goods stolen.

Following her complaint, cops had registered a case under Sections 454, 457, 380 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. A few days ago, police received information had that accused Tamsingh alias Bajrang was selling LPG cylinders and a bicycle to some persons.

Cops caught Tamsingh and recovered the stolen cylinders and other items from his house. During his custodial interrogation, he confessed to stealing the material with the assistance of Mayur alias Bittu and the juvenile delinquent. The arrests were made by Senior PI Amol Deshmukh, PSI B R Rajdhav, ASI Sanjay Wankhede and others.
