Nagpur News : As per Maharashtra government notification dated April 1, 2013, Local Body Tax has come into force in Nagpur Municipal Corporation in place of old octroi system. As per provisions of Local Body Tax, the registered entities have to file their Local Body Tax returns for year 2013-14, till June 30, 2014. Merchants falling under this category have taken blank return forms and are already filing the returns.
As only ten days are left for the deadline, a facility is also available for filing these returns in 10 zonal offices of Nagpur Municipal Corporation. This is for convenience of business people.
The business people can also go by e-filing route. Nagpur Municipal Corporation can provide User Id and Password by SMS to people who have registered their mobile numbers. These businesspersons will have to submit their details as required by Home Screen window of www.lbtnagpur.com.
