J&K: Massive Fire Breaks Out at Hotel Pamposh in Srinagar

New Delhi: A major fire broke out at Hotel Pamposh in Srinagar of Jammu and Kashmir, news agency ANI reported on Saturday. The fire broke out at 1:30 pm in the afternoon. As per media reports, the fire broke out on the top floor of the Hotel.

As per sources, five fire tenders are present at the spot and the rescue operation is currently underway. However, more details awaited. No casualties have been reported so far. The cause of the fire is not clear till now. Visuals from the spot showed tall flames and a thick blanket of smoke hovering over the building.

Recently, a major fire broke out at an Army camp near the Line of Control in Kupwara district. Police had said that the fire was reported at 45 Rashtriya Rifles headquarters in Hamar Gali area in Machil Sector due to short circuit.

Police had said that the fire engulfed many structures in the camp where large quantities of fuel, firearms, and ammunition are stored. The blaze was triggered by a short circuit.
