Sameer Pande of Shivaji Science College stood second topper in city with AIR104 scoring 304 marks out of 366 while Durgesh Agrawal with AIR 124 emerged as 3rd from city.

After working hard throughout the year, the months of May and June finally brought smiles on faces of students. The results of Class X and Class XII conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and HSC conducted by Maharasthta State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education are out. JEE (Advanced) result was released online on Sunday. Formerly known as Institute of Technology – Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE), the exam is conducted every year by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to the IITs.

The importance of this examination is increasing day by day. More than 1,70,000 students appeared for the examination that was conducted on May 21. Himanshu Bhoyar has emerged as Nagpur city topper (likely to be Vidarbha topper). Himanshu is the only student in city to secure an AIR in top 100 among approximately 2.20 lakh students who appeared for JEE Advanced 2017 on May 21.

Sarang Upganlawar, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Founder of ICAD Institute, said, “There is a good thing that Nagpur students are now reaching at a greater height. Entering into the club of 100 gives a proud feeling. The day is not far when the AIR first will be from city.”
