Nagpur: Nestled in the lush green Satpura ranges, the revered Jamsawali Dham is scripting a new chapter in spiritual tourism. Known for its miraculous Shri Hanuman Temple, Jamsawali, the site has emerged as a powerful symbol of faith, devotion, and modern development, gaining recognition not only across India but also internationally.
A Unique Blend of Faith, Miracles, and Modernity
Popularly known as ‘Hanuman Lok’, the temple complex has become a major center of devotion, attracting lakhs of devotees daily. Located in the Sausar tehsil of Pandhurna district, the sacred site is witnessing a surge in visitors, especially during ongoing festivals such as Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti.
Special religious programs are organized regularly by the temple trust, including major festivals like Guru Purnima and New Year celebrations, along with weekly gatherings every Tuesday and Saturday, drawing devotees from across the country.
The Miraculous History of Jamsawali Dham
Jamsawali Dham holds a deeply rooted and fascinating history. The idol of Lord Hanuman, believed to be thousands of years old, is uniquely depicted in a reclining posture beneath a Peepal tree, making it one of the rarest Hanuman temples in India.
According to local belief, the idol was discovered by a farmer while ploughing his field, hidden beneath thick grass. Over time, the site transformed into a major center of faith for millions of devotees.
₹314 Crore Mega Project: Rise of ‘Hanuman Lok’
What began as a modest temple in 1996 has now expanded into a grand religious corridor. The Government of Madhya Pradesh is developing ‘Hanuman Lok’ with an investment of ₹314 crore.
The first phase was inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, with the second phase already announced.
Once completed, the project is expected to rival the renowned Mahakal Lok and establish itself as a world-class spiritual destination.
Infrastructure and Development Highlights
According to Temple Trust President Gopal Sharma, Hanuman Lok represents a fusion of ancient traditions and modern technology.
Spread across nearly 30 acres, the development includes modern facilities aimed at enhancing the pilgrimage experience. Currently, the temple trust owns more than 68 acres of land, making it one of the fastest-growing religious complexes in the region.
Global Recognition and Future Expansion Plans
Jamsawali Dham is rapidly gaining global visibility through social media and digital outreach.
The second phase of Hanuman Lok includes several ambitious projects designed to further boost religious tourism and infrastructure development, positioning the site as a major international spiritual destination.
Hanuman Jayanti Festival Turns Region into Sea of Devotion
The ongoing Hanuman Janmotsav celebrations, which began on March 26, have transformed the region into a vibrant center of devotion.
Earlier events featured Hanuman Charitra recitation by revered saint Vivek Maharaj, along with a grand collective Sundarkand recitation by 11,000 devotees in the presence of Rasraj Maharaj, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere across the temple complex.
