Tral: At least three civilians were killed and 7 CRPF personnel were injured after a group of unidentified terrorists hurled grenades targeting a police party in Jammu and Kashmir’s Tral on Thursday.

According to a news agency, the convoy of Naeem Akhtar, a minister in the J&K government, also came under attack. However, he escaped unhurt.

The terrorists attacked the police party near a bus stand in Pulwama district’s Tral and hurled grenades on them.

The terrorists also opened indiscriminate fire on the CRPF jawans of 180 battalion after attacking them with grenades and fled the spot.

A total of 10 civilians have sustained injuries due to grenade attack.

The entire area was cordoned off, and a massive search for terrorists was launched.

The attack came hours after a junior level officer of the Seema Sashastra Bal (SSB) was killed and another injured in a suspected fratricidal firing incident at an SSB camp near the Jawahar Tunnel in Ramban district.
