Nagpur News: The All India Forward Block leader and Vidarbha Veer Jambuwantrao Dhote has again girded the loins for creation of separate Vidarbha. “This time it will do or die battle. If the separate Vidarbha is not created before January 23, 2015, I will undertake fast onto death from January 30,” announced the veteran Vidarbha protagonist Jambuwantrao Dhote while addressing a press conference at Tilak Patrakar Bhavan on Tuesday.

Jambuwantrao Dhote, who first dreamed and then appealed thousands of people to dream Vidarbha Statehood, lamented that the Vidarbha leaders all round the year raise slogans for separate Vidarbha but when the elections come, they maintain radio silence over Vidarbha Statehood issue. Targeting Congress party, Dhote said, “Separate Vidarbha is not at all in Congress agenda then how can the party provide justice to people of the region.”

“Today’s politics is of politics of money. When the Election Commission itself allows candidates to spend Rs 70 lakh over election campaigning then what would you say? It is nothing but politics of money. Earlier, democracy meant for people, with people, by people. But today’s politics is with money, by money and for money,” lamented Vidarbha Veer Dhote and cried in the press conference apparently due to today’s political situation.

Jambuwantrao further informed the media that All India Forward Block will field 4 candidates for Lok Sabha election. Shivdas Lakhdive from Usmanabad, Mahesh Awhad from Nashik, Dr Ankush Navle from Wardha and Adv Ramdas Hirkane from Bhandara-Gondia.
