ITI Nagpur to start aviation course in collaboration with Dassault

Nagpur: Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Nagpur is set to introduce a first of its kind programme in the aviation industry. The Aeronautical Structure and Equipment Fitter course will be conducted in over three divisions in the self-financing mode by Industrial Training Institute Nagpur.

The programme was approved after the bilateral meeting held recently between India and France. This meeting also paved the way for several other collaborations between both the countries.

It is for the first time that a trade which is related to the aviation industry is being introduced in any of the Industrial Training Institutions by the Government of India – Directorate of General Training, Ministry of Skill Development.

About the programme

The Aeronautical Structure and Equipment Fitter programme will be conducted along with France based Dassault Aviation. Dassault will provide the programmme with all necessary support which includes the infrastructure required for the programme. Apart from infrastructural support French faculty will also be engaged in the practical and theory course work. This joint venture will be reviewed after three academic years and a report will be presented based on which the decision to further continue the programme will be taken.
