It Was A Hook! Video of men carrying sharp-edge weapon on Nagpur Streets turned out to be of construction workers
Nagpur: Following the video of group of men roaming around near Bhole Petrol Pump went viral of social media, Nagpur Police swung into action. Cops managed to trace down the trio travelling on a bike with a sharp-edged weapon in their arms and it was revealed that they all were construction workers and the weapon look-a-like was a hook used in tightening of the wires.
Speaking to Nagpur Today, Senior Police Inspector Sitabuldi Atul Sabnis informed that, “We have traced the persons in the video. They are workers of a construction site and he was carrying a iron hook, which usually used for tightening the wires of centering plates. They were on way to home after compliting their work. They are not having any criminal record. Further enquiry is going on,” he said.
Though the clarification from Nagpur Police brought much needed respite to citizens, the video had sent ripples across Second Capital of the State given the recent incidents of public assault.
