Photography is one such art and passion which would enable you to explore the whole world. Photography can change one’s perspective of looking at things. It can capture everything in just one picture. People often think photography to be an easy task, but only a photographer knows the power of the photography.
The Nagpur Photography Club along with “Aranya”- a magazine to spread awareness about natural environment in association with Sony organised a two day long event that incorporated photography exhibition-cum-competition on August 8th and 9th, with a photography workshop on 9th.
The whole event targeted the amateur photographers from Nagpur and around. The exhibition-cum-competition, being the Club’s endeavour, received more than 800 entries out of which only 100 bests were selected as exhibits. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Sunil Kedar (MLA, Saoner), who praised the club for the event and emphasized on the need of good wildlife photographers who may bring nature closer to mankind. Also, He appreciated The competition was judged by an esteemed panel of judges comprising of Mr. N. Nawin Sona, IAS; Mr. Bijay Biswal and Mr. Suresh Paralkar, who congratulated the organisers for the

The winner of the competition was Sakshee Jain, first runner up was Harshad Dhapa who received 2nd prize, and Karen Pinto was the second runner up who received the third prize. The club also decided to sell the photographs displayed and the money raised to be given to “Matoshree Old Age Home”.
