Nagpur: The dubious act of providing Helicopter Rides sans Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Local Authorities came to fore in Second Capital of the State. Shivtirth Tourism located near Umri (Dam) on Saoner Road has been found offering illegal ‘Helicopter Rides’ without obtaining consent from local authorities and ultimately posing a grievous threat to flights and locals who might board the helicopter.

While Shivtirth Authorities are claiming that they have acquired all the essential permissions, however; speaking to Nagpur Today, sources from Local Special Branch (LSB) clarified that cops have not issued any sort of clearance for ‘Helicopter Rides’.

Sources from Local Special Branch (LSB) informed Nagpur Today that Shivtirth officials only offered a written intimation that they are conducting ‘Helicopter Ride’. Though, we’ve specifically told them to seek permission from the Superintendent of Police (SP) office, only after which the local police body would conduct spot panchnama of the site. However, the Shivtirth management turned blind-eye towards the protocol, he said.

On being contacted by Shivtirth Office, they were firm that they have obtained all the necessary clearance, NOCs, from all the concerned authorities.
