Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act

Nagpur: The indefinite nationwide suspension of services call given by Indian Radiological and Imaging Association (IRIA) to protest against the draconian provisions of PC and PNDT Act was called off on the night of September 2, 2016 after a written assurance from Ministry of Health & Family Welfare that the matter will be placed before the competent authority very soon.

The Central IRIA has communicated to its members that it has been decided to defer the strike for 3 months and they will keep pursuing the issues by meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare to get the amendments done as per their assurance in a stipulated period of two to three months.

Vidarbha Chapter of IRIA has expressed its gratitude to all its members and to President, Indian Medical Association (IMA) Dr Avinash Wase, President of Nagpur Obstetric and Gynecological Society (NOGS) Dr. Anuradha Ridhorkar, Secretary of Nagpur Obstetric and Gynecological Society (NOGS) Dr. Shilpi Sud, and Dr. Laxmi Shrikhande from Federation of Obstetric & Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI) for their unwavering support during the agitation.
