Nagpur News : An interaction meeting was held in between VIA members and Mr. Pravin Dixit, Director General of Anti Corruption Bureau, Maharashtra, on At VIA Hall to discuss on the subject of wide spread menace of Corruption which is adversely affecting the interests of Industries and hampering the development of the industry in Vidarbha region.
Pravin Dixit urged Industrialist to strengthen the system by registering complaint against any demand which comes from any government officials or from harassment from any government representatives for doing or completing any pending work. Similarly, NGO’s or any agent acting as a facilitator in between the complainant and any government officials can also be taken into net for the demand of bribe. Dixit added that VIA can play an important role in reducing the corruption. Collective counselling given by VIA to all Industrialists can actually bring awareness about combating corruption and will also help the department. VIA can spread awareness to their members on the sinful effects and consequences of corruption and the way in which the corruption is destroying the society.He explained the privilege, responsibility and the solutions that is available to all for preventing crimes. In addition, Dixit also discussed the modalities of filing of a complaint in bureau.

Dixit said in this modern era, corruption is widespread everywhere. People are very anxious to get their work done quickly. In such cases people are prone to give bribes and the greedy bureaucrats use the situation to gain money. Soon it becomes a custom. Even people who remain honest fall prey to this because of necessities. According to anti corruption law, not only taking bribe but also giving bribe is classified as an offence. Dixit said VIA can help us to eradicate corruption from the society by helping the society.
VIA members shared their suggestions/proposal for improving the working of Anti Corruption Bureau. The meeting was largely attended by members. Prafull Doshi, President VIA assured that VIA will give their full support to the ACB department. Rohit Agrawal, Hon. Secretary- VIA appreciated the department for their Initiation of combating corruption.
At the outset, Pravin Dixit, Director General was welcomed by Prafull Doshi, President- VIA. Summing up and vote of thanks was given By Rohit Bajaj, EC Member – VIA. Other prominent members who were present were Rohit Agrawal, Hon. Secretary-VIA, Girish Deodhar, Chairman VIA HRD Forum, B. H. Bhattad, Director, Gimatex Industries Pvt. Ltd., S. B. Mundada, mahalaxmi TMT Pvt. Ltd. and other VIA members. From the ACB department, Nisheet Mishra, SP, ACB, Nagpur and Sanjay Purandary, Dy. SP. ACB, Nagpur and other officials of ACB were also present.
