IMA Nagpur took the resolution to “Save, Nurture and Educate Daughters”

The installation ceremony of the new president of Nagpur Indian Medical Association was organized at J. R. Shaw Auditorium of IMA Nagpur on Sunday April, 27, 2014. Dr Sanjay Deshpande noted Sexologists / Sex Therapist took the charge as the President of Indian Medical Association Nagpur Branch for the year 2014-2015. The chief guest for the ceremony was Dr. Dilip Sarda President IMA Maharashtra State. Marathi and Hindi Cine Actress Ms. Varsha Usgaokar was the special celebrity guest for the ceremony. Dr Ashok Adhao Past National President IMA HQ, Dr Milind Naik National Vice-President HQ, Dr Kishor Taori Chairman, MMC, Dr. Warsha Dawle president, IMA 2013-2014, Dr. Vaishali Khandait were also present on the dais. Dr. Kush Jhunjhunwala, noted Pediatrician is the Hon. Secretary for the year 2014-15. Dr Ajay Kate is President Elect, Dr Avinash Wase & Dr Archana Kothari is Vice- Presidents, Dr Rafat Khan as Hon. Treasurer, Dr. Dilip Arjune & Dr Sarita Ugemuge is Hon. Joint Secretaries for the year 2014-2015.
In her welcome address Dr. Warsha Dawle president, IMA 2013-2014 congratulated Dr Sanjay Deshpande and wished him luck for his new responsibility. Talking about her experience as the president of Nagpur IMA, She thanked the team of IMA who helped her to achieve the success throughout the year. Dr. Warsha Dawle thanked office bearers of IMA Nagpur for their support.
New president of Nagpur Indian Medical Association Dr Sanjay Deshpande in his speech assured the IMA team that he will leave no stones unturned for the welfare of the society and to will give his best for IMA as a president. Talking about his planning Dr Sanjay Deshpande said that he will work on three important points. Dr Sanjay Deshpande said that he want involvement of every IMA member in the IMA activities, Appart from IMA members Dr Sanjay Deshpande seeks support of all professional organizations and specialty organization and Dr Sanjay Deshpande emphasize on social awareness activities.
Save, Nurture and Educate Daughters
Dr Sanjay Deshpande announced the year 2014-2015 resolution of Nagpur IMA which is “Save Daughters, Nurture Daughters and Educate Daughters”. The team of Nagpur IMA has planned to adopt poor girl students from schools and take the responsibility of her education and health. One doctor will adopt one girl child atlest. SBI and Rotary club will support IMA in this cause. Dr Sanjay Deshpande said that IMA is looking forward to educate and nurture more and more girls and make them capable and independent.
The bulletin and journal of IMA Nagpur “Intimate” also released on the occasion. All IMA members & office bearers were also present on the occasion.
