Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Institute of Management Technology & Research organized the Induction program and comparability workshop for the newcomer MBA students of batch 2015-16. Various events and programs have been planned under this activity. Formal Welcome function of the MBA first year was to be held at Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Institute of Management Technology & Research, Dhanwate National College Campus.
The programme begun with the lightning of traditional lamp and Homage was paid to Dr.APJ Kalam, Former President of India & Dr.R.S. Gavai, Former Governor of Bihar. The floral welcome of the guest was carried at the hands of Dr BB Taywade & Dr Mukul Burghate gave the introductory speech.
Ravindra Khot, the Chief Guest for the function, Deputy Vice President and Branch Head, Axis Bank, Nagpur Branch emphasized on the need for being a good human being before being a good manager. He gave the students a different lesson in management and gave them valuable tips for working in the banking sector. The guests of honour were Dr. JS Pandey, Chief Scientist and Professor, CSIR-NEERI who enlightened the students on various environmental issues which have been overlooked by the society. Philosophical thoughts left the students pondering over the role of management in environment. DS Khandare, Guest of Honour, Asstt Director (IMT) GR.II, MSME-Development Institute, Nagpur spoke about Entrepreneurship as a career option for management students.
The programme was compeered by Muktai Chavan and vote of thanks was proposed by Aditi Jha. The convener of the programme Dr.Kavita Patil & Muktai Chavan wished the students the best for their future. The programme was successful due to the efforts of the teaching & non-teaching staff of PDIMTR.
