Nagpur News: IndiGo Airlines gave a reason to smile to all the passengers traveling down South. IndiGo Airlines have planned to start a direct flight between Nagpur and Chennai thus, expanding its operations at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport.
Airport sources informed that the Airlines authorities were trying to get a flight number from Director General of Civil Aviation. At present the number of IndiGo flights from Nagpur is 10. With the addition of this new flight, the number will rise to 11. Sources informed that an Airbus 320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 passengers will be used for this purpose.
The flight will flew on daily basis and will leave in the morning. The IndiGo new flight to Chennai will have to compete with Jet Airways that has started a direct Chennai flight some time back. It is to be mentioned that IndiGo at present has 2 flights to Pune, 3 to Mumbai, 2 to New Delhi and one to Indore and one to Bengaluru.
he new flight will definitely serve as a breather for the passengers travelling to Chennai on and off from the city.
