Inauguration of State-of-the-Art Natatorium at DPS MIHAN

Delhi Public School (DPS) MIHAN has proudly inaugurated its cutting-edge natatorium, aimed at promoting health, wellness, and sporting excellence among its students. This new facility represents a significant step forward in enhancing the school’s sports infrastructure, providing students with a world-class environment for swimming and aquatic training.

The natatorium, a visionary project by DPS President and Pro-Vice Chairperson Ms. Tulika Kedia, is designed to accommodate swimmers of all levels—from beginners to aspiring competitive athletes—encouraging physical fitness, discipline, and sportsmanship.

The grand inauguration ceremony took place on Saturday, 5th October, and featured some of India’s most celebrated swimmers. Arjuna awardee Mr. Bhanu Sachdeva, Olympian and Arjuna awardee Mr. Virdhawal Khade, and India’s fastest female swimmer Ms. Rujuta Khade were joined by industrialist Mr. Naveen Kedia and youth icon Mr. Shalabh Kedia in unveiling the plaque and opening the state-of-the-art facility.

In her welcome address, Principal Ms. Nidhi Yadav expressed her excitement for the role the natatorium will play in nurturing young talent and cultivating a passion for aquatic sports. She thanked Ms. Tulika Kedia and Director Ms. Savita Jaiswal for their unwavering support in realizing this project, emphasizing that the pool is not just an addition to the campus but a testament to the school’s commitment to holistic education.

Mr. Bhanu Sachdeva commended the school’s efforts in fostering swimming skills, encouraging students to embrace the sport as a pathway to overall well-being. Olympian Mr. Virdhawal Khade inspired the students with words of motivation, expressing his hope that the school would produce national or even international-level swimmers. Ms. Rujuta Khade praised the school’s initiative in building a facility that meets international standards, providing an ideal platform for student growth.

The ceremony concluded with a symbolic dive into the pool by the honored guests and some of the school’s rising swimming stars, completing laps to inspire the budding swimmers. This gesture reinforced DPS MIHAN’s dedication to offering top-tier sporting facilities and grooming future champions.
