In the name of Modi…Maharashtra Govt. spends lakhs on stocking his books in school libraries!

Mumbai Maharashtra: The government wants students to ‘love’ reading as a hobby; they want them to read other books apart from school curriculum so libraries were created in Govt. run schools.

This scheme’s real motive is now under a cloud of suspicion since it plans to procure lakhs of books on Narendra Modi and lakhs more of Sangh publications on history of ‘ancient India’ etc. The publisher is named ‘Bharatiya Vichar Sadhana’ which is a body of the RSS. Crores of Rupees are to be spent on these publications while books on and written by Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi even Shivaji Maharaj are being ignored.

Marathi daily Loksatta has found in its survey that books on Namo and Sangh have gone up by 700%!! While earlier Sangh books were in the range of 3 lakh copies, now they are planning to take the number up to – believe it or not, 16 lakhs, two thousand and 675! This is a stunning rise indeed.

This scheme of running libraries was already in the eye of storm and much noise was made about it in the Assembly since books from M.P., Chattisgarh and Gujarat ( all BJP ruled states) were more than books published in Maharashtra.

When apprised of this, Education Minister Vinod Tawde had given orders for the matter to be looked into.

Now it seems this whole project is on the anvil of being hijacked as propaganda for Modi.

‘Catch them young’ seems to be the catch phrase.
