In a bid to save woman from meeting with a road accident, a police constable Rajednra Aandhale suffered serious injuries on Thursday. Aandhale was performing his duty at Shatabdi Square when he found a speeding vehicle was about to knock a woman crossing the road. The woman was talking on cell phone while she was crossing the road.
Aandhale immediately pulled the woman back and saved her. However, while pulling her back, a speeding car drove over Aandhale’s leg causing serious injuries. Aandhale failed to note down the vehicle’s number. He has been undergoing treatment at a private hospital. Ajni police has registered a case against unidentified vehicle.
