I stand by what I said, will never stop fighting divisive agenda of RSS: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi/Nagpur: Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that he stands by his words and will continue to fight against the divisive agenda of RSS.

The Congress Vice President’s remark came after RSS ideologue MG Vaidya said that rather than twisting it, Rahul Gandhi should come clean and show his generosity by offering an apology for his statement and accept before the court that what he had said was wrong.

Rahul tweeted, “I will never stop fighting the hateful & divisive agenda of the RSS. I stand by every single word I said.”

He also attached the video of his speech in which he says that the RSS people killed Gandhiji.

A day ago, Rahul Gandhi told the Supreme Court that he had never blamed RSS as an institution for killing Mahatma Gandhi but that persons associated with it were behind the assassination.

He had buttressed his stand by citing paragraphs from his affidavit filed in the Bombay High Court while challenging the summons issued to him as an accused for his alleged defamatory statement during a 2015 election rally in Maharashtra.

Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for the Congress Vice President, had cited the affidavit filed before the High Court, saying he had only accused certain people of RSS and not the organisation as the killer of Mahatma Gandhi.
