Husband-wife duo dupes a man with Rs 2 lakh by promising him Spanco Billing Cash Counter

A husband-wife duo has been booked by Jaripatka police on the charges of duping a man to the tune of Rs 2 lakh by promising him Spanco Company’s Billing Cash Counter in city. The accused couple even prepared a bogus agreement in this connection.

The accused couple, identified as Rajesh Subramanyam Mudliar (45) and Rohini Rajesh Mudliar, both residents of Ahuja Nagar, Jaripatka, in connivance with each other approached the victim Suresh Maroti Manvatkar (44), resident of Nari Slums, Jaripatka between 2012 and 2014. The accused husband-wife promised Suresh Manvatkar a Billing Cash Counter of Spanco Company and in return took Rs 2 lakh from him for the favour. The accused Rajesh Subramanyam Mudliar and Rohini Rajesh Mudliar even prepared a bogus agreement to win the trust of Suresh Manvatkar. However, the fraud got exposed when Suresh Manvatkar was not allocated the Billing Cash Counter of Spanco Company as promised by the accused couple.

Jaripatka API Jadhaver, acting on the complaint of Suresh Manvatkar and orders of First Class Magistrate No. 5, booked the accused Rajesh Subramanyam Mudliar and Rohini Rajesh Mudliar under Sections 420, 468, 471, 34 of the IPC and probing the matter further.
