HSC results declared with 89.5% pass percentage in Nagpur Division, girls have an edge again in State

Nagpur: The result of Maharashtra Board HSC 12th exam 2017 has been declared. This year’s total pass percentage is 89.50 which is about 2.9 per cent increase from last year’s percentage.

A total of 15,05,365 students have registered and they can check their percentage at result.mkcl.org

The Nagpur Division recorded 89.5% pass percentage. Last year the pass percentage in Nagpur Division was 86.35%.

This year too, girls have an edge over boys in the HSC results 2017. An estimated 15 lakh students appeared for the HSC examination in which out of nine regional divisions of the Maharashtra Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, Konkan topped the list for the sixth consecutive year with passing percentage of 95.20 and with Mumbai lagging at 88.21%.

While 86.65% boys were successful, girls outnumbered them with a passing percentage of 93.50.
Pune Divisional Board scored 91.16%, Aurangabad Divisional Board scored 89.83% and Latur and Nashik scored 88.22 % marks. Mumbai Divisional Board scored 88.21% against 86.08 in 2016
The Maharashtra Board conducts exams within the state through nine divisional boards at Pune, Mumbai, Latur, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, Amaravati and Ratnagiri.

Here are the important highlights from the MSBSHSE HSC Result 2017:
• Girls outshone the boys this time again and as many as 93.50% girls were declared as passed while for the boys the figure was 86.65%.
• As many as 95.85% students from the Science stream passed the exams, while the percentage of passed students was lowest in Arts stream with 81.91%.
• For Commerce the number was 90.57%.
• Following are the division wise HSC results 2017 : Konkan 95.20, Mumbai 88.21, Pune 91.16, Aurangabad 89.83, Nagpur 89.05, Amaravati 89.12, Kolhapur 91.40, Latur 88.22 and Nasik 88.22.

This year, a total of 15,05,365 students have registered out of which , 8,48,929 are boys while 6,56,436 are girls, appearing from 9,143 junior colleges across the state.

The maximum students are from Science faculty (5,59,423), followed by Arts (5,09,124), Commerce (3,73,870) and 62,148 students for Minimum Competency Vocational Course (MCVC).

There are a total of 2,710 examination centres across the nine divisions of Pune, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amaravati, Nashik, Latur and Konkan.
