Television actress Hina Khan looks like she will be having her hands full in the coming days, as she has revealed that she will be making her Bollywood debut. Hina is currently playing the part of Komolika, an antagonist, in Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, and doing it well too. She has already gained much attention after playing the role of Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and participating in reality TV shows – Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss 11.
Now, she will also be seen in a movie that will be directed by Hussain Khan and which is written by Rahat Kazmi and Shakti Singh. Times of India reported a source as saying that shooting is set to begin soon.
“Hina will soon begin shooting for a film, in which she will play a responsible and independent girl. The story is set in Kashmir in the 90s. Veteran actress Farida Jalal will play her grandmother,” TOI quoted the source as saying.
Hina, who has not been shooting for Kasautii Zindagii Kay, said that she is thrilled to be making her Bollywood debut and also revealed the plot of the movie.
“It’s a female-centric story. I also love the fact that it is set in a time and place where we are away from the hustle and bustle of city life, technology, daily rush and competition. I am also thrilled about challenging myself in a brand new medium,” she said.
On playing Komolika, Hina said that she will resume shooting from the second week of December, and when a fan asked about it on Twitter, she replied, “No from 26th I will start shooting for some other project.. kasauti I shall resume in the second week of December..[sic].”
It could be that she will begin shooting for the film from November 26.
