
Nagpur: The vibrant Kunwara Bhivsen Festival in Parseoni turned into a grand cultural celebration as noted actress, classical dancer, and Member of Parliament Hema Malini enthralled the audience with her acclaimed dance-drama Draupadi. The powerful performance drew a massive crowd from Parseoni, Nagpur, and surrounding areas, leaving spectators spellbound with its artistic depth and graceful storytelling.
Based on the epic Mahabharata, the dance-drama portrayed the powerful character of Draupadi, symbolising Nari Shakti, dignity, and resilience. Her journey from birth through trials and her fight against injustice was depicted with remarkable emotional depth and artistic finesse. A highlight of the performance was the intense portrayal of the ‘Vastraharan’ episode, which left the audience deeply moved. Equally compelling were the sequences depicting Draupadi’s devotion to Krishna, adding a spiritual dimension to the narrative.
Hema Malini impressed with her graceful expressions, precise movements, and mastery of classical dance forms. Her emotive performance, combined with powerful storytelling, brought each scene vividly to life. The melodious background score, synchronized lighting, and elaborate stage design enhanced the overall experience, making it visually captivating.

Several dignitaries, including Minister of State Ashish Jaiswal and other public representatives, attended the event. Hema Malini visits Gadkari’s residence
Hema Malini later visited Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s residence in Nagpur on Sunday. Nitin Gadkari and his wife Kanchan Gadkari gifted Hema Malini a handloom Karwat Kathi saree woven by Hotkaru women of Dhapewada.
