Heavy wind uprooted trees and electric poles and created trouble for traffic movement. The pandals and decoration put up for Ram Navmi procession also flew away along with electric wires. Due to Heavy wind ATC has to divert Indore-Nagpur flight to Hyderabad and after refuelling flight landed back in Nagpur at 10 pm, delayed by 2 hours.
Full grown tress uprooted in areas including Mohan Nagar, behind Tuli Imperial Ramdaspeth, Bhaji Mandi Square, Sakkarada Lake, Surendra Nagar, Rahate colony square were uprooted.
After 6pm slight drizzle was reported from few areas of the city. According to Met officials the reason behind the sudden change in climatic condition occurred due to activity in the Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation.
