Heavy rains, winds pound Mumbai

Mumbai: Heavy rains have been lashing Mumbai and its suburbs since Thursday morning, in the aftermath of cyclone Nisarga which made landfall near Alibaug yesterday.

The cyclone is now a depression over west Vidarbha region in Maharashtra and will weaken further, the India Meteorological Department said on Thursday.
