Heat wave to continue in city, Vidarbha for next 4 days: RMC

Nagpur: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Nagpur has forecast that the prevailing heat wave condition will continue to torment Nagpur and Vidarbha for next four days.

Apart from Nagpur, the other districts that will be in grip of heat wave are Yavatmal, Amravati Buldana, Wardha, Gondia, Chandrapur, and Akola till April 5. On Sunday, with maximum temperature reaching 43.2 degree Celsius, Nagpur was the hottest city in Vidarbha and second hottest in the country. Beed, with 43.5 degree Celsius, was the hottest in the country.

With mainly clear sky, the region is sizzling for past few days. Maximum temperatures are soaring continuously in Nagpur, Akola, Chandrapur and Wardha districts.

More places are likely to come under the extreme heat and will record maximum temperature around 44 degree Celsius in the days to come, Skymet Weather said in a press release.
