HC slams RTMNU for not allowing engg students for further examinations

Nagpur News: Slamming Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) for not allowing engineering students to sit for further examination who had passed in revaluation, the High Court here on Thursday, warned RTMNU to allow the students to sit for further examinations or else RTMNU will have to bear the expenses of the court.

Justice Bhushan Dharmashikari and Justice Prasanna Varale, at the High Court here, slammed RTMNU and asked the university to allow engineering students to sit for the examinations. Court has asked the varsity to file a reply in this regard till March 4.

It is mentioned that engineering students had applied for revaluation, but the results of revaluation were declared late. Students hit the streets since RTMNU’s approach was very casual in this regard. Vice-Chancellor Dr Vilas Sapkal intervened and asked the students to go High Court if they are not satisfied with the results. Students went to Court. And out 614 students, 349 students got changed results thus slapping the tall claims of RTMNU.

But the students who passed through revaluation could not fill the examination forms since the late date had past. High Court has ordered RTMNU to allow the students for further examinations.
