Nagpur: Under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to commemorate Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, every household in Nagpur will celebrate the country’s freedom by hoisting the tricolour and the administration is making all the necessary arrangements to ensure the success of this initiative, informed District Collector Vimla R here, on Monday.
Collector Vimla R was addressing press conference at Bachat Bhavan, Collector Office.
“The tricolour is the pride of India. Therefore, with joint efforts, we have to make this campaign successful and encourage the feeling of patriotism and secularism among the citizens,” she said.
The administration is keep on promoting Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in rural areas and focusing on availability and distribution of the tricolor for rural areas. The tricolour would be available at the base price of Rs 15 (standard 3*2 size). The administration is also working on making tricolour available to people from poor backgrounds for free. For this, the administration making special arrangements and also expecting donations. One Arnav, a class V student, has donated Rs 2,100 of his pocket money for this initiative on this occasion.
