Nagpur: Sensation prevailed Taj Nagar on Wednesday after a group of assailants launched a murderous attack on youth here under Ajni Police jurisdiction.
The victim has been identified as Nishant Bhagat who has been rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) under critical condition. The accused identified as Karan Singh, Birji, Lakhan and Sanju reportedly surrendered at Ajni Police Station.
There’s significant increase in the incident of body offences under Ajni Police jurisdiction in the past. It is pertinent to mention that in a case of revenge killing and police apathy, a youth Shaktiman was brutally hacked to death here under Ajni Police Station back in July. Shaktiman and others were accused of killing one Swayamdeep Nagrale (20) a day eariler over old enmity. To avenge his death, some miscreants reportedly killed Shaktiman, the prime accused of Nagrale’s murder.
One can’t rule out another gang war like situation in the vicinity.
