Group of cheats grab Govt-acquired land & sell it for Rs 2 lakh!

How the dubious minds work in sync and grab other’s hard earned money by hook or crook was reported in an incident of cheating. A group of four or more persons not only usurped a land acquired by Government by preparing bogus documents but also sold the land to a man for Rs 2 lakh.

The accused, Ankush Ramji Kadu of Wadi, members of Divane family, Manoj Choubey of Pili River and Deepak Mihalchand Gupta, in a well-planned conspiracy, prepared bogus documents and grabbed a portion of 3.60 hectare land in Jaripatka area of city. The 0.75 hectare land the accused grabbed was acquired by Government for Ring Road. But with the help of fake documents the accused converted the Government-acquired land in their names and also sold it to the complainant Sunil Mitthulal Gumatha (42), resident of Nari Road, Nagpur, for Rs 2 lakh. However, the fraud perpetrated by the accused soon got exposed and a complaint was lodged with Jaripatka Police Station in this connection.

Jaripatka Senior PSI Shrikhande, acting on the complaint of Sunil, booked all the accused under Sections 420, 465, 471, 34 of IPC and investigating the matter further.
