Govt bus crashes motorcyclist to death

A white corporation bus dashed into a motorcyclist near Jagnade Square on Saturday afternoon. Jagdish Munnalal Tembhre (24), a resident of Hasanbagh, near Badi Masjid, was coming from Gangabai ghat to Jagnade square on his grey pulsar bike (MH 31 DH 1451) on Saturday afternoon. A speeding white super fast corporation bus (MH 07 C9 075) came from behind and dashed into Jagdish’s motorcycle.

Jagdish fell on the ground in a pool of blood. People started to gather near the accident spot. Fearing arrest, the bus driver ran away. Traffic was badly affected near the area following this accident.

Jagdish worked in Municipal Corporation. On being informed, Sakkardar police rushed to the spot and controlled the situation. They did panchnama and sent Jagdish to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital. But, the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.

On the complaint of an eye-witness, Abdul Salim Shakkur Sheikh (26), cops registered an offence of accidental death. Search for the driver is on, informed PI Tayde.
