The Governor of Maharashtra CH. Vidyasagar Rao will inaugurate of Late Prof. S Ramanathan Library and the renovated laboratory blocks at the South Indian Education Society’s College of Arts Science & Commerce Sion (West) Mumbai at 11 hrs on Saturday, 30 June 2018.
The Governor will hand over the autonomous certificate to Dr. Uma Maheshwari Shankar, Principal of the College on this occasion. He will also honour former Principals of SIES, Prof. V. Padmanabhan, Dr. Harsha K. Mehta and Prof. S. Gopalakrishnan,
According to the organizers, the SIES College was inaugurated on 25th June 1960 by then Chief Minister of Maharashtra Yashwantrao Chavan. The College has been conferred Autonomous Status by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
