Nagpur: Nandanvan police have launched a hunt to nab a notorious goon who barged into a beer bar in Anmol Nagar and threatened to kill owner unless extortion money of Rs 5000 was not given to him every month.
The accused Vaibhav Pandey of Bapunagar, on Thursday evening, forcibly entered the R B Bar in Anmol Nagar and started abusing the owner Nitesh Kisanrao Bankar (30), resident of Flat No. 20, Siddhi Vinayak Housing Society, Ambika Nagar and staff members of the bar.
The accused Vaibhav doled out a life threat to Nitesh if extortion of Rs 5000 was not given to him every month. With these threatening words, the goon smashed glasses and ransacked the beer bar.
Nandanvan Woman PSI Bavankar, based on a complaint, booked the accused Vaibhav Pandey under Sections 387, 427, 294 of IPC and launched a search to apprehend him.
