It may come as a delight for all the melody fans who loved crooning and listening to the warm voice of Kishore Kumar. But it equally came as surprising how Google weighs any person in terms of his or her achievement. Of late Google has started recognizing the Indian side of fame and achievements and the latest in the line is the matinee singer of the country late Kishore Kumar.

While it remembers the legendary singer on his 85th birthday (August 4) on Monday by dedicating its main page logo to his artfully painted sketch, it was equally ironical last year on October 2, when it was Gandhi Jayanti and the world’s biggest and widely used search engine failed to make any mark to commemorate birthday of the Father of the Nation, fondly called Bapu in our land.

Then, Nagpur Today also published an article on how Google missed out on the big day in country’s history.

However, Monday morning was somewhat pleasant for all the net savvy guys in Nagpur as they woke up to find the pleasant visual of Kishore Da on Google’s main page.

Needless to mention Kishore Da for his exemplary line-up of the most hummable songs he rendered out to the nation’s music lover. Be it effervescent, whisky and chirpy numbers which caught the audiences’ fancy or the pain-soaked heart-touching songs that are listened across generations even today, Kishore Da is the man who will remain immortal with the echos of his voice which keep reverberating in the hearts of crores of his fans.
