Goods worth Rs 20.57 lakh stolen from engineering unit in Kalamna, CCTV catches act of two offenders

imagesNagpur: Burglars struck in a big way when they targeted an engineering unit in Kalamna area and decamped with goods worth Rs 20.57 lakh in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. The act of two unidentified thieves has been caught on CCTV installed at the engineering unit and based on the description cops have mounted a hunt to nab the offenders.

The owner of the company, Ajay Shankarrao Alshi (49), resident of Plot No. 603, Swamipuran Enclave, Chinchbhavan, Sonegaon, locked his Galaxy Innovative Engineering Company, situated at Plot No. 18, on Sunday night and returned home. Meanwhile, the two unidentified burglars, in the age group of 20-25 years, broke open the lock and entered the engineering unit in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday. Once inside, the thieves laid their hands on MS Angles, 1200 pieces of Manganese Steel Finished Casting collectively valued at Rs 20,57,500 and decamped with the costly goods. However, the act of the two offenders was caught on the CCTV installed at the engineering unit.

On being informed about the theft, Lakadganj police, led by API Rajesh Thakur, reached the spot and scanned the CCTV footage. Based on the description of the two accused the cops have booked them under Sections 461, 380 of IPC and launched a hunt to nab them.
