Nagpur: Sampurna Nandy, a student of Department of Microbiology, Shivaji Science College, Nagpur affiliated to RTMNU stood first merit in the of Master Science (Mcirobiology) examination held in Summer 2017. She received Prof V. G. Hatwalne Memorial Gold Medal for securing highest CGPA (8.60) in MSc (Microbiology) and Dr Chandraprakash Bhagwantrao Pawar Prize for securing highest CGPA in Fourth Semester, during the 105th Convocation of RTMNU held on 24 March.
She worked for a brief period as Project Assistant in CSIR-NEERI under the guidance of Dr H Purohit and Dr A Khardenvis. She is the daughter of Mili and Dr Tapas Nandy, former Acting Director and Chief Scientist, CSIR-NEERI, Nagpur.
She gives the credit for her success to Prof A V Gomashe and teachers of Shivaji Science College and parents.
