Nagpur: Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University’s (RTMNU) Examination Department on Amravati Road has been committing mistakes years after years in the results and degrees and still no efforts to correct them on their own. This has been putting the students to trouble. The varsity has standard answer to give that the administration has been carrying out the work through software. Often the names on the mark-lists, results sheets and degrees are spelt wrong. If there are four semesters, the names are correct in two semesters while in other two the names are wrongly spelt.
Sometimes in English it is correct while in Marathi it is spelt wrong. The students often have to make rounds or line up at the examination department to get their names corrected. The university is least bothered about the mistakes they commit and very conveniently the authorities say that if the students come here corrections are done. But because of the universities mistakes the students are directly affected.
Dr Niraj Khati, controller of examination says, as are the names on mark-list exactly same are printed on the degrees. The work is done through the software. Just as is the name on mark-list same is saved in the software and if there is any mistake in the translation the students can come here and get it corrected. He further says, the clerk checks the list and then students’ names are printed on the degrees.
