Nagpur: Gittikhadan police have arrested two notorious goons involved in a housebreaking and recovered stolen booty including gold-silver ornaments, laptop, mobile phones etc worth Rs 1.33 lakh. Interestingly, one of the accused was working with the house owner as car driver but was sacked recently.
The arrested accused burglars are Sangharsh Premdas Kothale (25) of Ashti, Kalmeshwar and Shudhodhan Vasudeo Sontakke (32) of Mahadula, Koradi. According to police, the two accused had struck at the house of complainant’s relatives between June 1 and 6, 2017 as they had gone out of station. Initially, theft of two laptops worth Rs 30,000 was noticed. Gittikhadan cops at that time registered a case on the complaint of Sharda Madhavrao Chirradari (43), resident of Gandhinagar. However, one Sharda’s relative K Subbarao, resident of WCL Colony, Gittikhadan, returned to the city, he found that a number of gold-silver ornaments worth Rs 4.51 lakh were stolen. Subbarao suspected role of Sangharsh Kathale who was working with him as car driver.
The accused was sacked by Subbarao recently. Acting on inputs of Subbarao, cops searched the accused Sangharsh but found that he had left his area soon after the burglary. But the cops succeeded in tracing the whereabouts of Sangharsh and his accomplice Shudhodhan and nabbed them from Koradi Bus Stand. Cops have also recovered some gold-silver ornaments, two laptops, two mobile phones collectively worth Rs 1.33 lakh stolen from Subbarao’s house.
The task was accomplished by Senior PI R D Nikam, API J K Bobde, constable Rajesh Lohi, NPCs Nilesh Ingole, Krunal Korche, under the guidance of DCP Zone 2 and Sadar ACP.
